Earth Day is right around the corner! So I got to thinking about the first changes I made in my life to live a little more green. There are many reasons to make changes and live a more Simple Natural Life. One of those reasons is to help take care of the Planet Earth. Another reason is to reduce the number of toxic chemicals you bring into your home.
At this point in time, scientists have concluded that humans are responsible for 70-100% of the earth’s global warming. Shocked? Yeah, I know.
The number one cause of the rapid rate of global warming is greenhouse gases. Human activities are the reason for rapidly increasing greenhouse gases. The leading causes of greenhouse gases are fuel related to transportation, electricity, and industry.
A more personal reason to “go green” is to reduce your exposure to numerous toxic chemicals. Papers, plastics, and other single-use products contain volatile organic compounds which off-gas in our homes. Exposure to these VOCs has a negative impact on our health. The top 5 most common VOCs are carcinogens.
